Lots of flying

I flew the airplane from Seattle down to Kansas City for my annual MMOPA Safety Seminar. With the flying I got in at the seminar itself, I flew a total of 15 hours in three days. The trip down was pretty routine but we left Seattle late so I got 2 hours of night, the first night flying in over two years. The LoPresti Boom Beams lights I had put on worked really great!
The trip back was fun. Mostly it was above all the weather and in the clear but for both the fuel stop in Billings and the final return at Boeing Field the approaches were in actual IMC. The Billings one was down almost to minimums but very smooth. On the BFI one, the bases were above the intermediate segment altitude so the approach itself was in the clear. The unusual thing about that approach was the Cirrus who crossed the approach course in the opposite direction, about a 30 degree intercept angle at exactly the segment altitude (2,200 feet MSL). Made me wonder if the instructors are actually teaching these Cirrus pilots anything about flying.
I have included a photo of N46ME on the ground at Billings so you can see what the weather was. The weather behind the aircraft is on the final approach course. The Beech 18 behind me was a really nice airplane! He was waiting for VFR (no de-ice equipment).
